I spared you the humiliation Claude has been subject to in the finals of the Tournament, but I'll briefly go over the rest: Claude and Dias walk up to the entrance of the Arena (this is the only time where both contestants enter from the same gate) and exchange some friendly advices with each other, then Dias mentions a promise Claude has apparently succeeded to mantain, unknowingly because it seems Rena has been quiet about it. I honestly don't remember that part in the Rena playthrough, so I'm sorry for not being able to elaborate on it.
The complex world of videogames seen by a "softcore gamer". This Blog aims to entertain, it has no serious pretense and doesn't try to sound too original. I want to share my little knowledge of a still growing industry, a new creativity medium and an interesting cultural phenomenon (after all these years it still feels like a new thing). My main interests in videogames lie in the solitary, or single-player, ones, especially traditional experiences, but I'm open to new ideas.

Funny Bits in Star Ocean 2 (54)
In my opinion Dias was a missed opportunity for a really cool character: look here, for example, at a great display of coolness from this... er, swordsman with incomparable strength and skill, long fair-coloured hair, a shady past and the lonely-wolf syndrome. Actually, his past wasn't really something special (more on this later on), but they managed to make him look like a cliché antagonist to Claude for the whole first Disc, while making him completely irrelevant in the second one (there ARE many differences, it's just that overlooking them is too easy). Not everybody may know what I'm trying to get at, but consider yourself lucky if you don't and avoid any questions about it, it's better this way.
